The India-made 2018 Hyundai Accent (Hyundai Verna) is now available in the Middle East, its regional debut was held in Bahrain in the last week of March. The fifth generation of Hyundai’s popular sub-compact sedan, the 2018 Hyundai Accent, as a revamped model, has a length of 4440mm, a width of 1720mm, and a height of 1460mm. it has a 2600mm and a 150mm ground clearance.

The two engines on offer include a 1.4L MPi petrol and 1.6L MPi petrol. The 1.4L engine produces 100PS and 132.39Nm of torque, while the 1.6L engine churns out 123PS and 151.02Nm of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission is standard in Bahrain, but car-buyers may find a cheaper option of a 6-speed manual transmission in other markets.

As far as the exterior highlights are concerned, the 2018 Hyundai Accent will impress automobile enthusiasts with its bi-function projector headlamps with LED DRLS, 16-inch alloy wheels and electric folding ORVMs with integrated turn signals. Its interior is available in one-tone (black) as well as dual tone (grey/black and beige/black) options. Some of the prime interior features include engine push-start button, leather-upholstered steering wheel and gearshift knob, audio system with 5-inch display and rear USB charger. The redesigned car also boasts of adequate safety features, including dual front airbags, ABS, ESC and HAC as standard, besides rear parking sensors and the rearview camera.
