Maruti Suzuki is causing the facelift of the Ciaz this year and pictures of the same have been discovered online. These pictures give us the knowledge of the details of the car better than the ones seen before. This test model of the car seen and photographed has a 2-DIN audio system. This comes replacing the touchscreen infotainment system of its predecessor. So this is probable one of the lower variants of the new Ciaz. It can possibly be the Zeta trim considering one can find steering wheel mounted controls in this Ciaz test mule. The cabin features and other equipment of the car are almost the same as the outgoing Ciaz model but conspicuous changes have been made on the dashboard. It now comes in a much lighter shade and a faux wooden panel is seen to run across the entire dashboard length. The faux wooden panels are extended to the doors as well. The instrument cluster gets a little change in the facelifted Ciaz. It gets a repositioned MID. There are the same aircon vents in the car and the cabin has the same black and beige dual tone. Nothing about the upholstery could be known from the received images.
The exterior of the car gets good styling as well. The facelifted car gets a new grille, pair of restyled headlamps with projector lights and LED daytime running lamps. One can also see a new bumper, a larger central air dam and edgy C-shaped design elements bordering the foglamp housing. The alloy wheels are the very same, no changes there. But there is a newly designed bumper at the rear of the car.
The power unit of the car is a 1.5 litre petrol engine which comes replacing the 1.4 litre engine. The diesel variant of the car gets 1.3 litre DDiS engine with SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle From Suzuki) tech. This engine comes coupled to a 5 speed manual gearbox with both the petrol and diesel variants. There will also come the AMT option with the new Ciaz.
