The ultra-luxury car maker Rolls-Royce has introduced a new 'inspired by music' edition of its Dawn Drophead Coupe. The car made its debut in a light-hearted music video at the Concorso, a classic competition of Itlay which is being conducted every year since 1929. After the immense success of its stablemate Rolls-Royce Wraith, the luxury marque has introduced Dawn on the same theme. Though, the 'inspired by music' edition is a part of the trilogy which also features 'inspired by film' and 'inspired by fashion' editions. The video reveals the Dawn used the soundtrack of closing doors, drop-top, parking lights, windscreen and other moving parts.
Apart from these things, the German Design Council has previously awarded the Dawn at the council's annual awards. The award was given in two distinct categories, Best of Best for the interior and exterior designing. The German Council awards internationally renowned products for unique designing. The Dawn is designed by Giles Taylor and his team, it's unquestionably one of the most glamorous and uncompromised drophead coupes. The launch of the Dawn 'inspired by music' represents the seminal moment for the Roll-Royce Motor Cars and assured to engage a new breed of successful, younger and dynamic customer.
Interior and Aesthetics
The edition features the unparallel aural experience in a company with the bespoke audio system and the exterior is the fusion of polished and brushed textures which gives it a 'Lyrical Copper' appearance. According to the automaker, the given color tone is a part of the theme and indication of the used copper in the audio system. And it's true that the copper wiring is the reason behind the best audio system. Meanwhile, car's lyrical copper look is theme color and if anyone wants different color option then they can have the color option of Andalusian white.
The Dawn has an unrivaled feature which makes it one of the most silent car in the world, the company has used same sound deadening technology which is used in Rolls-Royce Phantom. The car has an ability to detect unwanted sound. Talking about the interior, it has the resemblance of the exterior, the cabin is a mixture of brown and copper theme, which one can also trace on the dashboard, rear AC vent cover and on other interior details. While the audio system is appeared to be the same one that was used in Rolls-Royce Wraith.
Besides the new copper elements, bespoke music system, and new paint scheme, there is no any major mechanical change in the Dawn. The car is powered with 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 petrol engine which draws 570PS of power and 820Nm of torque. Besides these things, the engine has 8-speed automatic transmission which helps it to achieve a 0 to 100kmph speed in just 4.9 seconds, before reaching an electronically constraint speed of 250 kmph. However, the Dawn has beaten Phantom Coupe which was the fastest breed to date, and uniquely both cars have same fuel consumption system.
