The Tata Zest Premio has been launched officially at Rs. 7.53 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market and commemorates sales volumes of 85, 000 units of the car in India. There is only a diesel engine option available for this special edition version which gets piano hue finishing for the exterior mirrors, tan finished mid pad for the dashboard and a dual tone glossy black roof among other features. There are Titanium Grey and Platinum Silver color options available as well.
The piano black hood strip in front and multi-reflector headlamps are key features along with the dual tone bumper. There is a piano black boot lid and special edition badging for the Zest Premio as well in tandem with the optional piano black spoiler and silver wheel covers. The engine is the diesel 1.3 litre engine that churns out 74 BHP and 190 Nm. This engine is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission system. There is Premio branding and new seat fabric in tandem with contrast stitching.
Mayank Pareek, the President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit at Tata Motors, stated that the Zest Premio would be a bigger value proposition for younger buyers who were more aspirational and would elevate the popularity of the Zest brand which is loved by customers in India. He added that the Zest is the only compact sedan to receive the Global NCAP 4-star safety rating.
