The Tata Nexon AMT garnered positive reviews and customer interest at the 2018 Auto Expo where it was shown. The Nexon AMT can now be booked in India by paying Rs. 11, 000 at authorized Tata Motors dealerships. The AMT version will be available for both the diesel and petrol engines on the Nexon. The launch of this version is expected within a few weeks as per reports.

The Nexon AMT will take on rivals like the Mahindra TUV300 AMT and the Ford EcoSport AT in the country. However, this will only be available for the XMA and XTA trims. The engine options will remain unchanged, namely the 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre diesel turbocharged Revotorq engines. The 6-speed AMT unit will be accompanied by the City, Eco and Sport driving modes and will also have the brand new Etna Orange shade. The creep feature will also help in reducing throttle inputs in congested traffic. The AMT variant should be priced approximately Rs. 50, 000 more than the manual versions of the Nexon.
