Tata Motors has tasted success with new models like the Tiago, Tigor and Hexa. The Nexon compact SUV has also been a major draw right from the start and the company has now officially declared that 25, 000 units have been crossed for the Nexon in production. The car is made at the company plant in Maharashtra’s Ranjangaon.
This production milestone comes at a time when Tata Motors has already started accepting bookings for the Nexon AMT version which was shown at this year’s Auto Expo. The Nexon has also been introduced in Nepal recently. The SUV gets both diesel and petrol versions and the addition of the AMT option will certainly scale up its popularity immensely in the Indian market.
The Tata Nexon flaunts a distinctive look with its projector headlights, shark fin antenna and Feline Eye DRLs. There are 16-inch alloy wheels and LED tail lights in tandem with a dual tone colour scheme. There is ABS with EBD and dual airbags along with the engine start/stop button, reverse parking camera, three-tone colour scheme, front armrest, 8 speakers, parking sensors and a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. The Tata Nexon is currently priced between Rs. 5.99-9.62 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
