Volkswagen has gone ahead and brought the Vento Sport variant quietly in the Indian market. The Vento Sport’s technical specifications and prices have not been announced yet by the company. The Vento Sport will get some added styling touches like chrome Sport badging for the fenders, Portago 16-inch alloy wheels, ORVMs with carbon-fibre finishing, black side foils, a glossy black roof and rear spoiler in glossy black.

The Vento Sport may be based on the Vento’s Highline Plus variant which is the top-end trim. There could be other features like electrical folding and adjustment for the ORVMs, leather wrapping for the gearshift knob and steering wheel, leatherette seat upholstery, interior chrome accents, a touchscreen infotainment system and rear parking camera and so on.
The regular Vento sedan gets the 1.6-litre MPI petrol mill that is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission system while the TSI 1.2 litre petrol mill is mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission unit. The 1.5 litre TDI diesel engine is mated to 5-speed manual or 7-speed DSG transmission systems.
