Yaris, the latest offering by Toyota Kirloskar Motor, was unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo in February. According to a recent report, the launch will take place on May 18. It has also been revealed that V and VX grades are soon to arrive. There is a possibility of an entry-level G grade as well to ensure an aggressive starting price.
Push button start/stop, cruise control, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear AC vents, touch-screen infotainment system with Apple Car Play and Android Auto, cooled glove box, height adjustable driver’s seat, reverse camera, front and rear parking sensors, 4.2” MID, and alloy wheels are some of the standard features that the car will be equipped with.
Sources have also confirmed that there will be seven colour options on offer. These will include Pearl White, Silver, Grey, Black, and Super White. Blue (Dark or light), Brown or Purple/Maroon may also be offered. The company’s plant near Bengaluru is currently witnessing mass production of the Toyota Yaris. While bookings have not started officially yet, at an unofficial level, pre-orders are being accepted by dealerships for an amount of Rs. 50,000.
