Our Verdict
The JLR Freelander 2 was an established, 4x4 SUV that was convenient, niche and offered a great driving experience both on the highways and in-city. It was regarded as the perfect city vehicle that just rose to the occasion it was in. But the Freelander 2 is soon to be discontinued and in its place the Range Rover Discovery Sport makes its debut. It has a unique Terrain response system wherein engine torque control, traction are all combined for better performance. And drivers can also switch between the 4 and 2-wheel drive options based on its ‘On Demand’ feature.
