About NISSAN SUNNY
Famous with the Caaar TVC, Sunny is known for its interior space. There are acres of space in the second row, especially the knee room. Since the facelift, the Sunny gets a more premium look, with a new larger front grille and swept back headlamps. The headlamps are boomerang shaped, following the company's new design philosophy. The front bumper has been redesigned and even the fog lamps have chrome surrounds.
The biggest USP of the Sunny is its space and as this is a facelift, there is no change in the dimensions of the sedan. The Sunny is still the spacious sedan with sufficient head and leg room for front passengers, while the rear passengers are embellished with ample head room and loads of knee room. The boot too is large with a storage capacity of 490 litres. The new additional features include the in-dash music system on variants below the XV now get Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The XV however gets a bump in that as well. It has a 5.1-inch infotainment system with reverse parking camera as an extra.
The Sunny is more powerful than the Micra by about 20bhp, which makes it more powerful on paper. The petrol too is powerful. The acceleration of the Sunny petrol and diesel are good, and there aren't any issues at all. The performance of the Sunny is decent, and even the engines are drivable. It cleanly pulls the sedan, even when lugged into a higher cog. The K9K engine is almost as old as Fiat's multijet, atleast in India. Starting from the Logan, it has made a good reputation for its frugal nature. The suspension of the Sunny is soft, which makes the springs designed for comfort. The Sunny gets all the safety features like ABS and airbags. The Safety Pack comes with four airbags in total.

Our Verdict
The all new, reinvented Nissan Sunny has something to look forward to. The new look, not just plain interiors or simple features stands out as compared to other models of the automaker. The upgrade has made the car more refined and effective. Sunny is an acceptable car overall. The cabin space is bigger than most other cars and so it can be a perfect mid-sized family car. This car provides decent fuel efficiency, sufficient power and a fun driving experience. The driving experience is workable and a car to use on a daily basis and trips occasionally, without affecting your pocket.
