Skoda has been one of the auto manufacturers that have been brave with its decisions. It began its journey in India with a sedan, and then it got a station
wagon and now a compact SUV. The Yeti is a perfect vehicle for India. It is compact, which means it is easy to drive and park in the city. This means one
doesn’t really need those long SUVs that are too bulky to drive, manoeuvre and park in the city, while at the same time there has no compromise been made
on the space aspect too. The Yeti clears gets an advantage in that.
The new Yeti does look stylish, as the facelift has a very sharp design like other Skoda’s. Gone are the round headlamps as Skoda makes way for a new
fascia that features sharper bi-xenon headlamps with integrated day time running LED lights, a revised grille, the new logo and the newly designed bumper
which houses the horizontally placed fog lamps. Inside, the Yeti retains its high quality interiors and it does feel extremely comfortable. The Varioflex
Seats are very flexible that makes sitting and storage very flexible. The updated Yeti comes packed with features such as keyless entry, push button start,
automatic climate control, electrically adjustable driver seat, power folding ORVMs, touch screen audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, eight speakers
and audio controls on its three spoke leather wrapped steering wheel.
In the engine department, it still has the 2.0 litre diesel engine that produces 140 bhp and a lower powered engine that churns 108 bhp. The former comes
with a six speed manual transmission and the latter has a five spped manual box. The former is an all wheel drive, which makes driving more fun and easier
to drive on bad roads without losing any kind of traction.
