The Tata Aria SUV was first introduced in 2010 for a direct faceoff with the popular Toyota Innova. The Indian SUV segment is a stiffly fought segment with many competitors in the fray and more making an entry. The Tata Aria had its first facelift in 2014, though not distinctly different, the changes reflected in its appearance and engine too. Though many issues were taken care of, ergonomic issues still remained. It came in three trim levels but was very pricey and somehow didn’t match up to popular competition. Come 2016, the Aria will soon be phased off and replaced by the all-new Tata Hexa SUV.
